AYSO 1079 All Stars is a league focused exclusively on tournament play, where teams compete against other AYSO and club teams across the state. The All-Stars program is designed for players in the U10 division and above who are ready to play at a more advanced level. It offers a unique opportunity for coaches, players, and their families to experience the intensity and excitement of competitive soccer.

The tournament season kicks off in January and typically wraps up by April. Following the regular Fall season, all players registered in an AYSO region who meet the eligibility criteria are invited to try out for our Spring All-Star teams. These teams, selected by coaches, participate in weekend tournaments and face off against other AYSO All-Star and club teams. The program is fully self-funded, with participants covering costs for uniforms, practice fields, equipment, travel, and tournament entry fees.

Players MUST have participated in 50% of the games in the 2024 Fall AYSO Season.

AYSO1079 All Star Overview

AYSO1079 All Star is a tournament-focused league where teams compete against other AYSO and club teams within the state. Designed for players in the U10 division and above, the All-Star program offers an advanced level of play, providing a unique experience for coaches, players, and families to immerse themselves in competitive soccer.

Coaching Requirements

To be eligible to coach an All-Star team, you must have coached during the Fall 2024 season in the AYSO Recreation league. Coaches should be prepared to commit to two practices per week and weekend tournaments, which typically take place on Saturdays and Sundays, with occasional games on Fridays. It is up to the coach and team if they want to play soccer on Sundays. Tournament weekends generally occur once a month from January to April. Historically, AYSO1079 All Star teams participate in 5 to 6 tournaments throughout the season.

Coaching Responsibilities

All Star team management is entirely the responsibility of the coaches. While AYSO1079 will assist with coordinating uniforms and offer coaching advice, coaches are responsible for organizing tryouts, practices, tournament registrations, and arranging transportation and accommodations for tournaments. The Red Mountain Soccer Complex will be available for All Star teams to use for weekday practices.

How to Apply

If you're interested in coaching an All Star team, we are accepting applications until 8:00 PM on October 1st.

The AYSO1079 Board will review applications for each division to select coaches. You don’t need to be the most experienced coach to apply, but you do need to be committed. Please note that if we do not receive a coach application for a division, tryouts will not be held for that division.
